Terms of Service
Last updated October 21, 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of PathHog. By creating an account, installing the connector plugin, or running a scan, you agree to them.
1. The service
PathHog monitors the checkout flow of WooCommerce stores you own or are authorized to manage. It runs the buyer journey — product, cart, shipping, tax, payment and order confirmation — in an automated real browser on a schedule and after store updates, and reports the result. Monitoring of a connected store requires our connector plugin, which exposes a signature-gated test payment method and a cleanup endpoint used only by our runner.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the activity under your account, for keeping your credentials and license keys secure, and for providing accurate information. You must be able to form a binding contract and must not use the service if barred under applicable law.
3. Authorized use only
You may only connect and scan stores you own or have explicit permission to test. You agree not to use PathHog to probe, load-test, or attack any site you do not control, to circumvent its rate limits, or to interfere with the service. The free public scanner is read-only and provided for evaluating your own store.
4. The connector plugin
The connector is provided to run on your WordPress site. It never places a real order: the test gateway activates only for cryptographically signed requests from our runner, transactional emails for test orders are suppressed, and each test order is deleted with stock restored. You are responsible for keeping the plugin reasonably up to date. You may remove it at any time to stop monitoring.
5. Plans, billing and changes
Paid plans are billed annually in advance and renew each year until cancelled. Your plan sets how many stores you may connect and how often checks may run. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation stops future billing and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change prices or plan limits with reasonable notice; changes apply to the next billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
6. Payments, merchant of record & tax
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Stripe is responsible for the payment transaction and for calculating, collecting and remitting any applicable sales tax or VAT on your subscription — the tax shown at checkout is handled by Stripe, not invoiced separately by us. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms as presented at checkout.
7. Acceptable results & no guarantee of sales
PathHog is a monitoring tool. It surfaces errors and failures it can detect in an automated browser session, but it cannot guarantee that it will catch every possible issue, that your checkout will never fail, or any particular level of sales or uptime. You remain responsible for your store.
8. Intellectual property
PathHog and its software, including the connector plugin and this site, are our property and licensed to you, not sold. Run data and evidence generated for your stores belong to you; you grant us the rights needed to generate, store and display them to you as part of the service.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost sales or data.
10. Termination
You may stop using PathHog and delete your stores at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or misuse of the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends and we may delete your data after a reasonable period.
11. Governing law & operator
PathHog is operated as a sole proprietorship based in Owensboro, Kentucky, United States. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there.
12. Changes & contact
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Questions: support@pathhog.io.
